The short version: this kit’s four filters cost less than Mopar’s two-filter kit. Thread the cover on by hand all the way, then snug it with the wrench — a little past hand tight is the entire spec, and the figure is printed right on the cap itself: 25 Nm, about 18 ft-lb. Lean on it and you will distort or crack the plastic, and then you have a real problem.
Start the engine, let it idle for five minutes, and look again for drips at the O-ring and the drain before you drive anywhere.
Step 5: Prime it, and do not rush this one
