DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • The TruckTok Adjustable Drop Hitch solves the most common towing frustration: mismatched trailer heights. With a 6-inch adjustment range in 1-inch increments, you can level any trailer — from a low boat trailer to a tall cargo hauler — without swapping hardware. Forged from premium aluminum with an oxide-protected finish, it delivers 12,000 lbs of towing capacity in a package that’s light enough to install with one hand but tough enough for years of heavy use.
  • What sets this hitch apart is the dual anti-theft locking system. Most adjustable hitches secure only the receiver pin — this one locks both the receiver pin and the ball mount channel, so the entire assembly stays on your truck. Weatherproof keyhole covers keep moisture out of the lock cylinders. If you tow multiple trailers at different heights, this is the last hitch you’ll need to buy.

Key Features

  • Forged from premium aluminum with an oxide-protected surface finish that resists rust, corrosion, and water damage far longer than standard powder-coated steel hitches. Light enough to handle one-handed but tough enough for 12,000 lbs.
  • Two stainless steel locking pins secure both the hitch pin and the ball mount — not just one. Weatherproof keyhole covers keep moisture and debris out of the lock cylinders so they work when you need them. One key operates both locks.
  • 6" drop to 6" rise lets you dial in perfect trailer leveling across multiple trailers without swapping hardware. Precision-milled shank slides smoothly through the receiver without the binding common on budget hitches.
  • Rated to pull up to 12,000 lbs gross trailer weight with a 2-5/16" ball and 7,500 lbs with a 2" ball. Tested to meet SAE J684 towing standards — not an inflated marketing number.

FAQ

Q: What size ball do I need for this hitch?

A: This hitch comes with a pre-installed dual-ball head — a 2" ball on one side and a 2-5/16" ball on the other. Flip the mount 180° to switch between sizes. The 2-5/16" side supports the full 12,000 lbs GTW rating; the 2" side is rated for 7,500 lbs GTW.

Q: Will this hitch work with my lifted truck?

A: Yes — that’s exactly what the 6-inch drop is for. Measure from the top of your receiver tube to the ground, then from your trailer coupler (leveled) to the ground. The difference tells you the drop you need. This hitch covers anything up to a 6-inch drop.

Q: Can I use this with a weight distribution hitch?

A: The hitch platform is compatible with most WD systems, but confirm your WD head fits the shank dimensions. The 12,000 lbs GTW rating applies to weight-carrying mode — check your WD system for its own rating.

Q: Do I need two separate keys for the dual locks?

A: No. Both locks are keyed alike — one key operates both. Lock one pin to secure the hitch to your receiver, and the second to lock the ball mount to the adjustable channel. Leave the hitch on the truck without worrying about theft.

Q: Need a fixed ball mount or hitch lock to go with this?

A: If you tow one trailer consistently, our fixed 2" ball mount with 6,000 lbs GTW is a simpler option. For added security, pair this with a 5/8" anti-theft hitch lock and eliminate receiver rattle with our anti-rattle hitch tightener.
