A: No. Unlike newer models or other makes, the 2011-2016 Duramax (LML) factory ECM allows direct flashing. You do NOT need an extra security gateway bypass cable or an ECM swap. It is 100% plug-and-play straight through your vehicle's standard OBD-II port.

A: Yes. The 2011-2016 Duramax is infamous for DEF heater failures that trigger a 50 MPH speed limitation countdown.
