DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • Factory 6.6L Duramax LLY engines can suffer from intake contamination caused by the EGR and CCV systems. The EGR system recirculates soot into the intake, while the CCV introduces oil vapor into the turbo inlet, contributing to carbon buildup and reduced airflow efficiency.
  • When soot and oil vapor combine, they can form carbon sludge inside the intake system. The LLY CCV Reroute & EGR Delete Combo Kit helps eliminate these contamination sources, keeping the turbo, intercooler, and intake system cleaner.

Key Features

  • Complete EGR Cooler & Valve Removal: Eliminates the heavy factory EGR valve assembly and bypasses the cooler to prevent internal coolant leaks.
  • Prevents Carbon Sludge Buildup: Stopping both oil and soot keeps turbo compressor wheel, intercooler lines, and intake runners clean and dry.
  • Lower EGTs & Better Engine Efficiency: Removing hot exhaust gas recirculation lowers combustion temperatures and improves overall engine breathing.
  • Dual-Source Intake Protection: Permanently blocks abrasive exhaust soot and redirects oily crankcase blow-by vapors away from your intake system.

FAQ

Q: Why should I install both an EGR Delete and a CCV Reroute at the same time on an LLY?

A: The CCV system introduces oil vapor while the EGR system recirculates soot, which can combine to form carbon buildup inside the intake. Installing both helps reduce contamination and keeps the intake system cleaner.

Q: Does this kit include the 3" intake tube or passenger-side up-pipe?

A: Yes. This kit includes the high-flow intake tube to replace the restrictive factory intake bridge, it does not include the passenger-side up-pipe. For a complete airflow upgrade with the up-pipe replacement,

Q: Does this kit require cutting or modifying factory coolant lines?

A: No. The kit includes a pre-shaped high-temperature silicone bypass hose that connects directly to the factory coolant fittings, allowing for a clean EGR cooler bypass without cutting the original lines.

Q: Can I install this EGR and CCV kit with the turbo still in place?

A: Yes. All components are designed to be installed while the turbocharger remains mounted on the engine block. However, working clearance near the firewall is tight, so using swivel sockets and long extensions is recommended.

Replacement Parts for breather tubes didn’t fit without modification

What seemed to be a 30 minute project took an hour and a half. The 2 nipple replacements that go into the factory valve cover ports were not machined to fit. There’s no way they’d fit in the hole in the valve cover. I used a dial indicator and checked the OD of the new parts and they were .750” had no bevel on the tube ends to get them started I attempted to use a deep well socket to try and lightly tap the part in place but the fit was to tight and one wouldn’t have been able to turn it to align the retainer bolt if it had gone in. Ultimately I had to take the parts to my belt sander and reduce the OD to .745 to get them to fit I also used a slightly thinner o-ring so it wouldn’t shear off as I installed the parts also the zip ties for securing the hoses in place were not included with the kit. Fortunately I had all the resources to complete the job. I don’t know if this is a one off fluke or if others have found that these 2 parts didn’t fit. The picture is a little blurry but does show the OD

Hi Lorin, thank you for sharing your detailed experience. We're sorry to hear about the fit issues and appreciate your resourcefulness in resolving them. We'll review the parts to improve quality control and clarify kit contents. Your feedback helps us serve you better. Thanks for choosing TruckTok!

Turbo response improved

Didn't expect much but replacing the factory ribbed plastic charge pipes with smooth aluminum actually made a difference. Turbo spools about 200 RPM sooner according to my Edge CTS monitor. The silicone boots seal better than the old dry-rotted OEM ones too — no more boost leaks at the connections. The CCV reroute kit is well-made with a proper vent filter. Recommend for any LBZ/LMM that still has factory piping.

Both kits in one box — smart combo

2006 LBZ with 200K miles. Factory hot side pipe had a crack near the turbo outlet. Instead of replacing just that one piece, got this combo kit. Aluminum pipes are a big upgrade over the OEM plastic — no more heat cycling cracks. The CCV reroute is a must on these engines unless you enjoy cleaning oil out of your intercooler every 10K miles. Install took about 3 hours, all hardware included.

Fixed the oily intercooler problem

My 2008 LMM had oil weeping out of the intercooler boots from years of CCV blow-by. Bought this turbo piping kit with the CCV reroute. Replaced all the factory plastic pipes with these — way thicker aluminum piping, silicone couplers are 4-ply. The CCV reroute routes crankcase vapors to atmosphere instead of back into the turbo intake. 2000 miles later, intercooler is bone dry and the turbo spools noticeably cleaner.

Can't mount but runs great

Everything worked except the mounting bracket was slightly off and couldn't allow it to be secured. Haven't had a problem other than that fitment issue
