DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • The factory Exhaust Gas Recirculation system on the 07.5-24 Ram 6.7L Cummins is designed to pump hot, dirty exhaust gases back into your engine’s intake air stream.
  • Over time, the heavy carbon soot from the exhaust mixes with oily crankcase vapors to create a thick, corrosive sludge. This sludge heavily restricts airflow, jams your intake valves, raises EGTs, and can eventually lead to head gasket failure or severe engine wear.
Key Features
  • Premium Welded Aluminum: Built from premium lightweight aluminum tubing, precision welded and pressure-tested to handle high boost pressures without leaking or warping.
  • Eliminates Engine Shutdown: Replaces the unstable moving butterfly valve with a fixed, straight-through design, completely removing the risk of unexpected valve closure under heavy load.
  • Maximizes Intake Airflow: The stock valve assembly obstructs and creates heavy air turbulence even when fully open. This delete pipe provides a smooth, straight path for maximum air volume.
  • Improves Turbo Spool & Response: Reducing intake restrictions allows your turbocharger to spool up faster, sharpening throttle response and helping to lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures.

FAQ

Q: If my tuner already deactivated the factory throttle valve, why do I need to remove it?

A: Tuning only turns off the electronic actuator, leaving the mechanical butterfly valve inside your intake. Over time, high boost pressure and vibration can force this valve to flutter or slam shut, instantly choking your engine. Removing it is the only way to eliminate this physical failure risk.

Q: Can I install this if my factory EGR cooler is still on the truck?

A: Yes. While pairing it with an EGR delete is highly recommended, this pipe can be installed by itself as long as your custom tune allows you to unplug the electronic throttle valve connector.

Q: Will this modification change the exhaust sound of my truck?

A: It will not change the overall tone of your tailpipe exhaust, but you may notice a slight increase in turbo hiss and spool sound coming from under the hood due to the smoother, unrestricted intake path.

Q: Does it matter which way this pipe is installed?

A: No. The throttle valve delete pipe is symmetrical and flows the exact same volume of air in both directions, making it impossible to install backward. Just ensure the gaskets are properly aligned during bolt-down.
