DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • Most ball mounts are fixed — you get one angle, one position. The TruckTok Rotatable Ball Mount changes that entirely. A ball-bearing rotation system lets the hitch pivot smoothly under load, improving towing maneuverability and reducing binding on tight turns. With a 50,600 lbs break strength on the main hitch body and a pre-installed 2" tow ball rated for 14,900 lbs, this is a serious piece of hardware dressed as a ball mount.
  • The kit includes everything you need for a complete towing and recovery setup: the rotatable hitch with bearing system, a pre-installed 2" ball mount, a 3/4" D-ring shackle rated at 39,600 lbs, a locking hitch pin, and a hitch tightener to eliminate rattle. The dual-groove D-ring design and anti-lost screw keep your recovery connections secure. Drop-forged steel with electro-galvanization and powder coating means this hitch will outlast your truck.

Key Features

  • Unlike a fixed ball mount that binds on tight turns, the bearing system lets the hitch rotate smoothly in any direction. Less stress on your receiver, smoother towing, and better maneuverability in tight spaces.
  • The main hitch body handles 50,600 lbs breaking strength — far beyond what you’ll need for standard towing. The included D-ring shackle is independently rated at 39,600 lbs, and the 2" ball mount delivers 14,900 lbs. Every component is overbuilt for safety.
  • Comes with the rotatable hitch, pre-installed 2" ball mount, 3/4" D-ring shackle, locking pin, hitch tightener, and all washers. Unbox it, insert it, lock it — you’re ready to tow or recover.
  • The shackle features a dual-groove design that prevents straps from slipping during angled pulls. The anti-lost screw keeps the pin secure even under vibration — no more missing shackle pins on the trail.
  • Two layers of corrosion protection: electro-galvanization bonds to the steel at the molecular level, and the powder coat provides a durable outer shell. Built for trucks that see rain, snow, mud, and road salt.

FAQ

Q: Does the rotation feature actually make a difference when towing?

A: Yes — especially on tight turns and uneven terrain. A fixed ball mount can bind against the coupler when the trailer and truck are at different angles. The bearing rotation eliminates that binding, reducing stress on both the hitch and the trailer tongue.

Q: What’s the difference between break strength and working load?

A: Break strength is the point at which the component fails in testing. Working load limit (WLL) is the safe operating range — typically 1/3 to 1/4 of break strength. Always use WLL for your towing calculations, and treat break strength as the failure point you should never approach.

Q: Can I use this hitch for off-road recovery pulls?

A: Yes. The included 3/4" D-ring shackle is rated for 39,600 lbs breaking strength and is designed specifically for recovery. The ball mount is NOT a recovery point — always attach recovery straps to the shackle, never the ball.

Q: Will the bearing wear out over time?

A: The sealed ball-bearing system is designed for the life of the hitch. Occasional cleaning and a light lubricant spray will keep it operating smoothly. If you submerge it in mud or saltwater frequently, rinse and re-lubricate.

Q: Need a heavier-duty recovery setup or a different ball size?

A: For dedicated recovery, our 70,000 lbs D-ring hitch receiver is purpose-built for extreme pulls. For a tri-ball option covering three ball sizes, see our tri-ball hitch mount.
