FITMENT

  • 1999-2007 (including 2007 Classic) Chevrolet and GMC models equipped with 4.8L LR4, 5.3L LM7/LM4/L59, or 6.0L LQ4/LQ9 LS V8 engines.
  • Note:GM discontinued the factory EGR system on LS truck manifolds after 2006.
  • 2007+ new body style or 2008+ model, it does not have an EGR port and does not require this kit.

DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • GM LS-series truck engines from 1999–2007 use factory EGR systems that route exhaust gases from the passenger-side exhaust manifold back into the intake manifold. Over time, EGR components and passages can develop carbon buildup, leaks, and drivability issues that affect engine operation.
  • The LS EGR Delete Plug Kit includes both the intake manifold block-off plate and passenger-side exhaust manifold plate to seal unused EGR ports, help prevent leaks, reduce future carbon buildup, and create a cleaner LS engine bay.

Key Features

  • CNC Billet Aluminum Construction: Precision-machined from durable billet aluminum with heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability.
  • Stops Vacuum & Exhaust Leaks: Seals unused intake and exhaust EGR ports to help prevent air leaks, exhaust leaks, and unwanted EGR recirculation.
  • Clean LS Engine Bay Design: Removes bulky OEM EGR crossover tubing and components for a cleaner, simplified passenger-side engine bay.
  • Complete Dual-Port EGR Seal Kit: Includes both the intake manifold block-off plate and exhaust manifold flange plate to fully seal the factory EGR circuit.

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between this kit and a single intake block-off plate?

A: This complete dual-port kit seals both intake and exhaust EGR ports, allowing removal of the factory EGR tube. A single intake plate only seals the intake side.

Q: Where do these plates install?

A: The intake plate installs on the top EGR port of the intake manifold, while the exhaust plate bolts to the passenger-side exhaust manifold flange where the factory EGR tube connects.

Q: What symptoms can a failing LS truck EGR system cause?

A: A faulty EGR valve or leaking EGR tube can contribute to vacuum leaks, rough idle, hesitation, and inconsistent engine operation. This kit helps seal unused EGR ports after removal.

Q: Does this kit remove the entire factory EGR system?

A: This kit seals the intake and exhaust EGR connections, allowing removal of the factory EGR tube. Additional wiring or ECU adjustments may be required depending on your vehicle setup.
