DESCRIPTION
Product Overview
- A straightforward towing mirror upgrade for the earliest GMT800 platform — 1999–2002 Silverado and Sierra 1500/2500, plus 2001–2002 HD models. SUV coverage includes 2000–2002 Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, and Yukon XL (1999 SUVs are GMT400 and will not fit; 2000 Tahoe Z71 5.7L and Yukon Denali are excluded). The housing uses the original three-stud door mount with no shimming or drilling.
- Each mirror includes power-adjust flat glass, heated defrost, a manual convex blind-spot lens, manual telescopic extension, and manual folding. This model does not include LED turn signals, running lights, or backup lights — it focuses on the core mechanical and thermal functions needed for safe towing. The essentials at the entry-level price.

IMPORTANT — Read Before You Buy
- These mirrors require the corresponding factory features for full plug-and-play functionality. If your truck doesn’t have those options from the factory, custom wiring modifications will be necessary and those specific functions may not work. Always verify your truck’s factory options before ordering.

FAQ
Q: Do these mirrors have turn signals or any LED lights?
A: No. This is the most basic model in our lineup — power-adjust glass, heated defrost, manual telescopic extension, manual folding, and a convex blind-spot mirror. No in-glass turn signals, no amber running lights, no backup LEDs. Want LED lighting on the same platform? See our 1999–2002 premium set.
Q: Why don’t these fit my 1999 Tahoe or Suburban?
A: The 1999 Tahoe, Suburban, and Yukon were built on the GMT400 platform. GMT800 SUVs launched in 2000. These mirrors fit 2000–2002 models only.
Q: Are these plug-and-play if my truck has the factory power mirror option?
A: Yes — if your truck was factory-equipped with power and heated mirrors, these use the existing harness with no cutting or splicing. Manual mirror trucks or those without the heated option will need custom wiring.
Q: Do these still extend for towing wide trailers?
A: Yes. The dual-arm telescopic mechanism slides out to increase rearward visibility when towing, same as our other mirror sets. The extension and folding mechanisms are identical — this model only omits the LED lighting.
Q: Need a different generation or more features?
A: On a 2003–2006 or 2007 Classic? See our GMT800 mirrors. Browse all options in our full mirror collection.
