DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • The 2007.5–2024 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins diesel engine requires immense volumes of fresh air to sustain high boost pressures during heavy towing. In dusty fields, construction zones, or highway conditions, airborne grit bypassing weak filters can instantly scour precision turbocharger wheels and ruin cylinder walls.
  • Our premium engine air filter provides a high-strength defense shield for your intake system. Constructed with heavy-duty, multi-fiber blended media and reinforced with rigid stabilizer bars and a metal mesh backing, this panel filter refuses to distort or collapse under the intense vacuum loads generated by full turbo boost. The flexible, form-fitting polyurethane gasket creates a positive, airtight seal against the factory airbox to eliminate dirty air bypass.

Key Features

  • Engineered with heavy-duty multi-fiber blended media and rigid stabilizer bars to withstand the extreme intake vacuum of a 6.7L turbo diesel—preventing pleat collapse under maximum boost.
  • Built with a structural metal mesh backing to prevent filter deformation or flexing during high-RPM towing.
  • Features a high-temp polyurethane seal that forms an airtight seat inside the factory airbox, completely eliminating unfiltered bypass.
  • Uniform pleat spacing stabilizes incoming air and minimizes intake turbulence for stable MAF sensor readings.
  • A direct drop-in replacement designed for a perfect, tool-free fit in the factory airbox in under two minutes.

Replacement Interval

  • Replace every 30,000 miles or 24 months under normal driving conditions. If you frequently haul heavy loads through dusty construction sites, dirt roads, or agricultural zones, inspect the filter every 15,000 miles and replace as needed to prevent airflow restriction.

FAQ

Q: Why does this air filter have stabilizer bars and metal mesh?

A: The 6.7L Cummins generates massive intake vacuum under full boost—enough to collapse a standard filter. The stabilizer bars keep the pleats rigid and evenly spaced, while the metal mesh backing provides structural support to prevent the media from warping or being pulled toward the turbo inlet.

Q: What happens when the air filter gets clogged?

A: A clogged filter restricts airflow, which can trigger a P0101 MAF sensor code and check engine light. You will also experience sluggish throttle response, reduced boost, black smoke from incomplete combustion, and a noticeable drop in fuel economy.

Q: Can I clean and reuse this filter?

A: No. This is a disposable, dry-media filter. Washing or blowing it with high-pressure air will damage the multi-fiber blended media and ruin the polyurethane seal. Replacing it is a low-cost way to protect your turbocharger compressor wheel from dust erosion.

Q: Does a high-flow air filter improve horsepower?

A: On a stock engine, this OEM-spec filter already delivers more than enough clean airflow to support maximum boost. Its primary job is engine defense—keeping your MAF sensor readings accurate and protecting your turbocharger from harmful grit.

Q: Should I replace the cabin air filter at the same time?

A: They’re separate systems but on similar inspection cycles. The cabin filter keeps dust and diesel odors out of your truck’s interior — if your engine air filter is dirty enough to replace, your cabin filter is likely overdue too. Grab our Air + Cabin combo kit for a one-stop refresh. Want the full engine service too? The 2019-2024 3-Filter Kit adds fuel and oil filters to this same air filter in a single box.

10-micron synthetic media and water separation in the FS43257

2007.5 Ram 3500. The FS43257 is the primary fuel/water separator on the 2007-2009 6.7L. This TruckTok version uses Racor-spec synthetic media with a water-coalescing membrane. The center tube is reinforced to prevent collapse under vacuum from the CP3 lift pump. Changed mine at 15K miles and the media was dark but intact with no tears. The water separator bowl had the usual condensation. Good filtration keeps the injectors happy on these trucks.

5083285AA: one oil filter for 17 years of 6.7L Cummins

2022 Ram 2500. The 5083285AA oil filter fits every 6.7L Ram from 2007.5 through 2024. Toyota engineers designed the Cummins oil system right. This TruckTok filter has the correct thread pitch, bypass valve calibration, and full-synthetic media with crimped metal end caps. The filter housing cap threads on smoothly and the O-ring seats properly. I run Rotella T6 5W-40 at 7500-mile intervals and the filter holds up perfectly. Same filter whether you have a 2008 or a 2024.

FS43257 is the early filter, do not buy the 2010+ one by mistake

2007.5 Ram 2500. The 2007.5-2009 6.7L Cummins used a specific fuel filter housing that takes the FS43257. In 2010, Ram changed the housing and the filter is different. This TruckTok set has the correct early filter. The oil filter (5083285AA) and air filter (53034051AB) are the same across all 6.7L years, so this set covers your engine filters perfectly. One order, three filters, no wrong part numbers.

Water separation on the FS43257 saved my CP3

2009 Ram 2500 with 210K miles. I drain the fuel filter housing water separator every oil change and there is always a little water in there, especially in winter. This TruckTok FS43257 has the correct Aquabloc-treated membrane that coalesces emulsified water. The CP3 pump on the early 6.7L is more forgiving than the CP4, but it still does not like water. 210K on the original CP3 says the filtration is working. The 5083285AA oil filter is the same quality as Mopar at a better price.

5013470AE: 2019+ 68RFE external spin-on filter

2021 Ram 2500 with the 68RFE. The 2019+ 68RFE uses an external spin-on transmission filter on the passenger side of the transmission case. If this filter clogs, the cooler bypass opens and you cook the clutch packs. This TruckTok 5013470AE has the correct 20-micron cellulose media and anti-drainback valve. The filter spins on smoothly and the gasket seals without a wrench. Changed at 30K during a fluid service and the magnet inside was clean. The 68RFE is a good transmission if you change the fluid and filter.

53034051AB fits every 6.7L Ram from 2007.5 through 2024

2020 Ram 3500. The air filter for the 6.7L Cummins has not changed in 17 years, 53034051AB fits them all. This TruckTok replacement has the same dry synthetic media and pleat count as the Mopar filter. The perimeter seal is a thick foam gasket that compresses into the airbox channel. Pulled it at 20K miles after gravel road duty and the clean side of the airbox was spotless. The turbo inlet looked new. If you have a Ram 6.7L, this is your air filter.

FS43257: correct for the 2007-2009 filter housing

2008 Ram 2500. The early 6.7L Cummins (2007.5-2009) uses a specific fuel filter housing that takes the FS43257. The 2010+ trucks use a different filter, Mopar 68157291AA. This TruckTok FS43257 has the correct dimensions for the early housing: right height, right O-ring groove, right water drain valve clearance. The cap spins on smoothly and the water-in-fuel sensor connector fits without forcing. No diesel weeping around the cap. If your Ram is 2007.5-2009, this is your filter.

Early 6.7L Cummins filter kit: fuel, oil, and air in one box

2008 Ram 3500. The 2007.5-2009 6.7L uses a different fuel filter housing than the 2010+ trucks. This TruckTok set has the correct FS43257 fuel/water separator with the early HFCM fit, the 5083285AA oil filter with the correct bypass valve, and the 53034051AB dry-media air filter. Everything fits. The fuel filter cap O-ring is the right thickness and the air filter seals the airbox tight. My 6.7L has 190K miles and these filters have been doing the job since 100K.

FS43257 fuel filter plus 5083285AA oil filter: exactly what the early 6.7 needs

2008 Ram 3500 dually. This combo pairs the correct early fuel/water separator with the Cummins oil filter. The FS43257 has the 10-micron media with water-stripping membrane. The 5083285AA has the correct bypass valve pressure and anti-drainback diaphragm. I change the oil every 7500 miles and the fuel filter every 15K. Fuel pressure at the CP3 is steady and oil analysis shows normal wear metals. Two filters, one box, done.
