DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • Factory exhaust up-pipes and EGR valves are two major failure points on the Ford 6.0L. Stock up-pipe bellows frequently crack from heat cycling, causing boost leaks and spiking EGTs.
  • Simultaneously, recirculated soot sticks to the EGR valve, freezing it open and choking the intake manifold with carbon sludge.
  • The Kit solves both issues in a single upgrade. By replacing weak up-pipes and sealing the EGR valve port, this kit restores turbo spool, lowers EGTs, and keeps your intake clean.
Key Features
  • Heavy-Duty T-304 SS: Built with thick 16-gauge polished SS tubing and reinforced flex bellows designed to handle extreme heat expansion and towing stress.
  • Restores Lost Turbo Boost: Eliminates under-hood exhaust leaks by replacing weak factory flex joints with heavy-duty up-pipes, ensuring exhaust pressure reaches the turbo.
  • Prevents Intake Soot & Carbon Buildup: Blocks off the EGR valve opening to stop sticky exhaust deposits from entering and clogging the intake manifold.
  • Precision CNC & Direct Fit: Precision-machined flanges and high-temp seals ensure a seamless, leak-proof bolt-on installation using OEM mounting points.

FAQ

Q: What is the main difference between this kit and a full EGR cooler delete kit?

A: This kit replaces the leak-prone factory Y-pipe and blocks the EGR valve opening to reduce soot buildup and improve reliability. It helps restore turbo response while avoiding the need for a complete EGR cooler removal.

Q: Why do the factory 6.0L Powerstroke up-pipes fail?

A: The factory up-pipe flex bellows are exposed to extreme exhaust temperatures and repeated thermal cycling. Over time, the bellows can crack, causing exhaust leaks, reduced turbo efficiency, and soot buildup in the engine bay.

Q: How does a leaking up-pipe affect turbo performance?

A: A leaking up-pipe allows exhaust energy to escape before reaching the turbocharger. This can reduce turbo spool speed, cause slower boost response, and affect overall engine performance.

Q: What problems does this 6.0L Powerstroke Y-Pipe & EGR Delete Kit solve?

A: This kit addresses two common 6.0L Ford issues: failed factory up-pipe bellows and EGR-related carbon buildup. It helps reduce exhaust leaks, improve turbo response, and maintain cleaner intake airflow.

Still haven’t received my order!

Hi, there was a minor issue with the carrier during shipping. We’ve already contacted you via email.

OEM Ford pipes are $600+ — these are better

I priced the Ford replacement pipes at the dealer — $310 for the passenger side, $350 for the driver side, plus the Y-collector gasket. $675 total for the same bellows design that will crack again in 100K miles. These TruckTok pipes are bellow-less polished stainless and cost a fraction of that. The OEM leather-seat Ford logo tax is real. Good riddance.

Driver side pipe goes in from underneath

For anyone attempting this install — save yourself the frustration. The driver side pipe needs to go in from underneath the truck, not from the top. Drop the inner fender liner and snake it up past the steering shaft. Once I figured that out the rest was straightforward. The pipes are well-jigged and both lined up with the collector without any prying. Took me three hours including the learning curve. YouTube this install before you start.

Fixed mysterious underboost code

2007 F-350. P0299 underboost code kept coming back. Checked turbo, checked intercooler boots, checked MAP sensor — all good. Finally smoke-tested the intake and saw smoke pouring out of the passenger bellows. One cracked factory up-pipe taking out the entire turbo's airflow. Installed these, cleared the code, and 8,000 miles later P0299 has not returned. Sometimes the simplest fix is the one you overlook.

No bellows = no future failure point

The factory design with flexible bellows is the root cause of the 6.0 up-pipe problem — they work-harden from heat cycling and crack. These TruckTok pipes have no bellows. Just a solid mandrel bend from the manifold to the Y-collector. The flanges are thick enough that there is zero flex under load. Am I giving up a tiny bit of vibration damping? Maybe. But I will take that over a guaranteed exhaust leak at 100K.

Part of my 6.0 bulletproofing — zero regrets

2005 F-250. Doing the full bulletproof — head studs, EGR delete, oil cooler, and these up-pipes. Since the turbo was already off for the oil cooler, swapping the up-pipes added maybe 45 minutes to the job. The Y-collector flange was dead flat so the turbo seated perfectly. 20K miles into the bulletproof build and these pipes are holding tight. Can't say the same about the factory transmission but that is a different problem.
