DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • The factory 6.6L Duramax LML engines is designed for emissions compliance, but the DPF system can create additional exhaust restriction and increase heat management demands under heavy load. At the same time, the factory EGR system recirculates exhaust gases back into the intake system, which can contribute to soot and carbon buildup over time.
  • The LML 4" DPF Delete Pipe & EGR Delete Package combines a race pipe with EGR delete components. helps improve exhaust flow efficiency, reduce system restriction, and simplify the factory emissions configuration for off-road and competition applications where permitted.

Key Features

  • Optimized Fast Turbo Spool: The 4" pipe diameter maintains ideal exhaust gas velocity for faster turbocharger spool-up, crisp throttle response, and minimal cab drone.
  • Reduces EGTs & Ends Active Regens: Replaces the heavy, restrictive DPF canister with a smooth 4" race pipe to eliminate primary exhaust backpressure and stop fuel-draining regenerations.
  • Stops Intake Carbon Sludge & Coolant Leaks: Completely removes the factory EGR cooler, preventing abrasive soot from choking intake valves and eliminating internal coolant leak risks.
  • Tailored flange Fitment: Features precision 3-bolt flange geometry engineered specifically for the downpipe connection layout on early-build LML trucks.

FAQ

Q: Why is fitment specified as 2015.5–2016?

A: GM updated the turbo downpipe flange and exhaust connection midway through the 2015 model year. This kit is specifically designed with the late-15.5–16 flange layout for a direct, leak-free match.

Q: Which Turbo Downpipe should I buy if I want to upgrade at the same time?

A: You should select the 2015.5–2016 Duramax LML 3" Turbo Downpipe. It features the 3-bolt clamp style flange designed to pair seamlessly with this 2015.5–2016 4" race pipe.

Q: Does this kit include a CCV Reroute, and should I add one?

A: This specific package includes the 4" Race Pipe and EGR Delete. While deleting the EGR stops soot from entering your engine, adding a CCV Reroute Kit is highly recommended to also stop oil mist from fouling your turbo and intercooler lines.

Q: Can I install this kit using basic shop hand tools?

A: Yes. The exhaust pipe and EGR block-off plates use basic mechanical connections. However, reaching the back of the LML engine bay around the firewall can be tight, so socket extensions, swivel joints, and rust penetrant spray are highly recommended.
