DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • Factory LLY,LBZ and LMM Duramax engines can suffer from exhaust restrictions, turbo efficiency issues, and intake oil contamination. The factory passenger-side up-pipe features a restrictive EGR riser that can reduce exhaust flow and contribute to heat buildup, while the stock CCV system introduces oil vapor into the turbo intake, coating intercooler boots and intake components over time.
  • The LL LBZ LMM Performance Package addresses these issues with riserless up-pipes, a 3" high-flow turbo downpipe, and a complete CCV reroute system. This upgrade helps improve exhaust flow, reduce intake oil contamination, and maintain a cleaner, more efficient turbo and intercooler system.

Key Features

  • High-Flow Turbo Downpipe: Replaces the restrictive factory downpipe with a smooth 3" mandrel-bent design to reduce exhaust restriction and improve turbo-side airflow.
  • High-Flow Up-Pipes: Replaces restrictive factory up-pipes with heavy-duty 304 SS piping, eliminating the failure-prone EGR riser and improving exhaust flow to the turbocharger.
  • Clean Intake (CCV Reroute): Routes crankcase oil vapor away from the turbo intake, helping reduce oil buildup in the turbo, intercooler, and intake system.
  • Improved Turbo Response: Optimized exhaust and intake airflow helps reduce restrictions, improve turbo response, and deliver sharper throttle feel.
  • Reduced Leak & Failure Points: Addresses common factory weak points by reducing up-pipe cracking risks and preventing oil contamination around intake components.

FAQ

Q: Why should I replace both the Up-Pipes and the Downpipe at the same time?

A: The up-pipes deliver exhaust energy to the turbo, while the downpipe carries exhaust away from the turbo. Upgrading both improves airflow on both sides of the turbine, helping reduce restriction, improve turbo efficiency, and avoid duplicate labor.

Q: What is the main benefit of adding the CCV/PCV Reroute to this package?

A: The factory CCV system introduces oil vapor into the turbo intake, which can lead to oil buildup in the intake system. The reroute kit redirects crankcase vapors away from the intake, helping keep the turbo and intercooler cleaner.

Q: Does installing this 3" Downpipe require removing or lowering the transmission?

A: No. Transmission removal is not required, but clearance near the firewall and dipstick tube is limited. Removing the heat shield and cutting the restrictive factory downpipe can make removal easier.

Q: Does replacing the driver-side up-pipe provide a noticeable performance difference?

A: Yes. While the passenger up-pipe eliminates the crack-prone EGR riser, replacing the driver-side up-pipe ensures equal exhaust flow and pressure balance from both cylinder banks into the turbo housing, smoothing out boost delivery and reducing EGT spikes.
