DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • This complete 4-filter master maintenance package provides a total filtration refresh for your truck's powertrain and interior climate systems. By combining the high-flow engine air filter, cartridge-style fuel filter, heavy-duty oil filter, and activated carbon cabin air filter into a single bundle, you can service every major filtration point on your truck in one easy garage session.
  • Engineered to support demanding towing, hauling, and daily work conditions, this kit protects your high-pressure fuel injection system from harmful water contamination, traps engine-wearing soot and particles in the oil, and optimizes combustion airflow to the turbocharger. With the added cabin filter trapping dust and pollen before they enter the cab, it’s the ultimate solution for owners who want zero maintenance gaps and peak overall vehicle performance.

Key Features

  • Synchronizes all four critical filter replacements into a single maintenance interval, ensuring total system balance without missed service dates.
  • High-flow engine air filter captures fine silica dust and road debris while delivering steady, unrestricted airflow to protect the turbocharger.
  • Precision cartridge-style fuel filter utilizes advanced coalescing media to strip water and microscopic impurities from variable-quality diesel fuel.
  • Multi-layer activated carbon cabin air filter neutralizes diesel exhaust, traffic fumes, and seasonal pollen to keep interior air clean and comfortable.
  • Heavy-duty oil filter with high-capacity media efficiently captures combustion soot and holds steady oil pressure under demanding towing conditions.

Replacement Interval

  • Target the 15,000–20,000 mile mark for fuel, engine air, and cabin air filter replacements (10,000–15,000 miles under severe towing or dusty conditions), and swap the oil filter during your routine mid-interval oil changes (7,500 miles normal / 5,000 miles severe) for a synchronized maintenance routine.

FAQ

Q: What is the advantage of replacing all four filters at the same time?

A: Servicing all four filters together resets your truck’s entire filtration system to baseline in a single session. This ensures balanced airflow, stable fuel rail pressure, clean engine lubrication, and fresh cabin air without having to track staggered maintenance dates or deal with half-restricted old filters.

Q: Where is the cabin air filter slot located, and is it easy to replace?

A: The cabin air filter is located inside the cab behind the glovebox. To replace it, simply release the glovebox dampener arm, lower the glovebox door, and open the filter housing cover. It takes less than 5 minutes with no specialized tools required.

Q: Is changing a cartridge-style fuel filter difficult compared to a traditional spin-on filter?

A: It is straightforward and clean. Instead of using a filter strap wrench, you simply unscrew the top housing cap with a socket, lift out the old cartridge element, swap the sealing O-ring, and torque the cap back down.

Q: Will doing all four filters at once take me all afternoon?

A: An experienced DIYer can complete all four in under an hour. The cabin filter takes two minutes, the oil and fuel filters about fifteen minutes each, and the air filter another five. Tools needed: socket set, drain pan, filter wrench, and basic hand tools.

Q: Moving to a 2020 or newer L5P and need the equivalent full set?

A: For the 2020–2025 generation, use the Full Maintenance Kit which accounts for the oil filter change from PF2232 to PF26 and the revised air and cabin filter dimensions.

Allison external filter included in this kit, do not skip it

2018 Silverado 2500. This TruckTok 5-filter kit is the only one that includes the 29539579 Allison 1000 external spin-on transmission filter. Most owners never change this filter and it is critical since it filters the fluid before it goes through the cooler. Mine at 60K was dark and the magnet had normal clutch material. The TP1015, PF2232, A3231C, and cabin filter all fit like OEM. If you own a 2017-2019 L5P, get the kit with the Allison filter.

A3231C: the 2017-2019 L5P air filter, do not buy the A3248C

2017 Silverado 2500. The 2017-2019 L5P uses the A3231C air filter which is shorter than the 2020+ A3248C. The two do not interchange: the A3248C is too tall and the airbox lid will not close. This TruckTok A3231C has the correct dimensions and the foam perimeter seal fills the airbox channel. The dry synthetic media does not shed fibers onto the MAF. ACDelco also lists this as A3257C in some catalogs, same filter.

TP1015 plus PF2232: fuel and oil for the 2017-2019 L5P

2017 Silverado 2500. This combo pairs the TP1015 fuel filter with the PF2232 oil filter. The PF2232 is the 2017-2019 L5P oil filter and was replaced by the PF26 in 2020. Make sure you get PF2232 if your truck is a 2017-2019. The TP1015 is the same across all years. Both filters have the correct bypass valves and sealing surfaces. Two critical filters, one box, CP4 insurance.

TP1015: same fuel filter across all L5P years 2017-2026

2020 Silverado 3500. The TP1015 fuel/water separator is the one constant across the entire L5P run. Whether you have a 2017 or a 2026, the fuel filter is the same. This TruckTok TP1015 has the exact same 10-micron Aquabloc media and water-coalescing membrane as the ACDelco that has over 4,000 five-star reviews on Amazon. The O-ring seats perfectly and the water drain operates smoothly. The CP4.2 does not forgive cheap fuel filters.

Complete 2017-2019 L5P service kit: all five filters

2019 Silverado 3500 dually. This is the full L5P filter kit: TP1015 fuel/water separator, PF2232 oil filter, A3231C engine air filter, 29539579 Allison transmission external filter, and 23281440 cabin air filter. The 29539579 is the Allison 1000 spin-on filter that sits on the passenger side of the transmission. Five filters, one order. Dealer would charge over $450 for this service. DIY with this TrukTtok kit and save hundreds.

A3231C plus 23281440: engine and cabin air for early L5P

2019 GMC Denali HD. This combo pairs the A3231C engine air filter with the 23281440 cabin air filter. The A3231C is the correct pre-2020 L5P filter, shorter and narrower than the A3248C used on the 2020 facelift. The 23281440 cabin filter has activated carbon and slides into the housing behind the glovebox. Both filters fit perfectly. Do not accidentally buy the 2020+ A3248C for your 2017-2019 truck.

Gen 1 L5P combo: A3231C air, 23281440 cabin, PF2232 oil

2018 Silverado 2500. The 2017-2019 L5P uses the A3231C air filter (shorter than the 2020+ A3248C), the 23281440 cabin filter, and the PF2232 oil filter (replaced by PF26 in 2020). This TruckTok combo covers all three in one box. The A3231C seals the early L5P airbox, the 23281440 has activated carbon, and the PF2232 cartridge fits the housing correctly with the cap O-ring. Triple-fits, one order.

TP1015 fuel, A3231C air, 23281440 cabin: CP4 defense trio

2018 Silverado 3500. Three filters that cover fuel, engine air, and cabin. The TP1015 fuel filter is the same across 2017-2026 L5P, so this one will be familiar. The A3231C is the 2017-2019 specific air filter. The 23281440 cabin filter has the carbon layer. The TP1015 is what separates this kit from the air-plus-oil bundles. For the L5P CP4.2, the fuel filter is the most important one. One box, three filters.
