DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • If your 15–19 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke is running a custom multi-tune file, changing your horsepower levels used to mean pulling over, turning off the engine, plugging in a tuner, and waiting several minutes for the computer to re-flash.
  • Standard flash tools are simply too slow when conditions change on the road. Leaving your truck stuck in a high-horsepower "race" tune while pulling a heavy load can dangerously skyrocket your EGTs and risk severe engine damage. Conversely, leaving it in a low-power "tow" tune ruins your daily driving experience once the trailer is unhooked.
Key Features
  • Premium Heavy-Duty Rotational Detents: Engineered with solid, distinct click-detents for positions 1 through 5. It will not slip between settings or accidentally skip a power level while driving over rough terrain.
  • Protects Powertrain Longevity: Allows you to instantly drop your truck into a lower, safer towing map the second you see your Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs) creeping up on a steep hill.
  • Clean & Discrete Footprint: Fits seamlessly into the cabin interior without messy, dangling wires, giving your customized truck a clean, professional factory-accessory look.
  • 5-Level Power Management: Gives you total manual control over your custom tuning software’s 5-stage power maps (e.g., Stock, Eco, Tow, Street, Max Performance).

FAQ

Q: Is it safe to turn the knob while my foot is hard on the accelerator pedal?

A: While the hardware can process the voltage change instantly, it is highly recommended to let off the throttle slightly before switching maps. This gives the transmission and turbocharger a split second to adapt to the new torque parameters, preventing harsh shifts.

Q: Can I mount the dial face behind the dash panel for a hidden install?

A: Yes. The compact threaded switch housing allows installation in most plastic dash panels, center consoles, or glove boxes, depending on your preferred mounting location.

Q: Does this switch require an external power source or battery hookup?

A: No. This is a passive resistance-based switch that draws all necessary reference voltage directly from the factory sensor harness it plugs into. It requires zero external power, routing to the fuse box, or battery splicing to function.

Q: Will this work with EZ LYNK, SCT, or EFI Live?

A: This switch is compatible with Switch-On-The-Fly (SOTF) custom tuning, regardless of the tuning platform. Compatibility depends on how your custom tune is configured—not the tuning device itself. Before purchasing, please confirm with your tuner that your truck has a compatible SOTF tune and supports an external selector switch.

EZ Lynk with connector harness = 100% reversible

2018 F-450. I had a warranty issue with the DEF system and needed to put everything back to stock. Unplugged the SOTF connector harness in 2 minutes, plugged the factory CAC sensor straight back into the ECM, and the truck was 100% stock. Dealer never knew a thing. The connector version is the only way to go if you care about reversibility. The Delphi connectors are exactly like factory.

Pre-wired connector — no tapping into the harness

2017 F-250. This is the version WITH the pre-made ECM connector that plugs inline — no wire tapping. The harness has a male and female connector that goes between the factory CAC sensor and the ECM, with a branch off to the SOTF switch. Took 10 minutes to install and zero risk of damaging the factory wiring. The connectors are OEM Delphi units with weather seals. This is the way to do it if you want a 100% reversible install.

2016 6.7L — plug-and-play connector is worth the extra money

2016 F-350 King Ranch. Spend the extra on the version with the pre-wired connector. I watched a buddy tap his CAC wire and spend two hours chasing a loose connection that threw his IAT readings off. The connector version is literal plug-and-play — disconnect the factory sensor, plug in the harness, reconnect the sensor, route the switch to the dash. No soldering, no tapping, no electrical tape. The switch itself is the same quality knob with crisp detents.

2022 Tremor — CAC SOTF + EZ Lynk on a brand new truck

2022 F-250 Tremor with the 7.3... wait, this is the 6.7 Tremor. I was nervous about tapping into a sensor circuit on a truck with 5K miles. The install was clean — Scotch-lok free, used proper Posi-Tap connectors that do not damage the wire. The resistor values are stable across temperature — I tested the switch output cold and hot and it drifted less than 0.2%. If you are worried about messing up a new truck, just use quality connectors and follow the instructions.

EZ Lynk auto-detected the switch on first plug-in

2018 F-350. I was worried about the resistor values being off and having to manually calibrate in the EZ Lynk app. Plugged the switch in, opened the app, and it auto-detected all five positions with the correct voltage values. The resistor pack in the switch is precision-matched — each position is within 0.5% of spec. No calibration, no guessing, just worked. The switch fits in a standard round hole with a locking nut behind the dash.

Five 6.4L tunes at my fingertips

2008 F-250. My 6.4L was tuned on a single 200-hp race file and that was fun but terrible for towing. This fuel temp SOTF switch plus EZ Lynk CSP gave me stock, tow, street, performance, and race all switchable on the fly. The switch uses a rotary dial with a firm click between positions. The harness is pre-terminated with heat-shrink butt connectors. Paired with a good tuner who knows the 6.4L platform, this is the best mod on my truck.

2013 6.7L — the connector harness makes early 6.7 installs easy

2013 F-350. The 2011-2014 6.7L CAC sensor connector is different from the 2015+ trucks. This TruckTok kit has the correct connector for the early trucks. The inline harness plugs in between the CAC sensor and the factory harness — 5-minute install. The SOTF switch uses a clean 3/4-inch round hole mount and the knob has a black anodized finish that matches the Ford interior.

2019 6.7L CAC SOTF through the factory sensor wiring

2019 F-350 dually. The CAC sensor on the 2017+ 6.7L is in a different location than the 2011-2016 trucks, but the wiring color and pinout are the same. This switch taps the CAC sensor signal wire at the ECM connector behind the glovebox — no need to run wires through the firewall to the engine bay. The harness is long enough to reach the ECM and the switch can be mounted anywhere in the dash. Clean install.

2011 6.7L — original CP4 truck, beat on it with SOTF for years

2011 F-250 with 240K miles on the original CP4. I have been running this TruckTok SOTF switch with EZ Lynk for about 100K miles. The switch has never failed — no dead spots, no resistance drift, no intermittent tune drops. The inline connector harness has been exposed to engine heat and road grime for years and the Delphi seals are still holding. The truck has the original CP4 because I run a clean tune stack — stock for warmup, tow for work, street for fun.

CAC temp SOTF — the 6.7 way to do it

2015 F-250. The 6.7L Powerstroke ECM reads the CAC (intercooler) temperature sensor to determine intake air temp for the fuel map. This SOTF switch taps into that circuit and sends different resistance values per position. EZ Lynk maps them to five tunes. The switch has a 12-position rotary but uses 5 for tunes with a stop at position 5. The knob is knurled aluminum with a set screw — no plastic parts.

Works on both my 6.4 work truck and my 6.7 daily

I have a 2010 F-450 work truck with the 6.4 and a 2017 F-250 daily with the 6.7. Bought two of these TruckTok SOTF switches — one for each. Both installed cleanly with the same wiring logic. The 6.4 uses it through fuel temp and the 6.7 through CAC temp — the switch itself is the same, just wired to different sensor circuits. The rotary knob has a quality feel and the LED is bright enough for daylight.

6.4L fuel temp SOTF — seamless with EZ Lynk

2009 F-350. The 6.4L ECM does not have a dedicated SOTF input like the Duramax, so this switch routes through the fuel temp sensor circuit. EZ Lynk reads the resistance values from the switch and maps them to five tune positions. Install takes 30 minutes — tap the fuel temp wire, mount the switch in the dash, and configure the tune. Switching positions is instant while driving. No more single-tune compromise.
