DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • The fragile Bosch CP4 high-pressure pump inside the 2011–2016 Ford Super Duty 6.7L engine leaves zero room for fuel contamination. Even microscopic particles of sand, rust, or emulsified moisture can rapidly score the precision tolerances of your common-rail injectors, causing a chain-reaction drop in fuel rail pressure that leads to a notoriously expensive, multi-thousand-dollar system overhaul.
  • The TruckTok premium dual-filter kit counters this vulnerability with an advanced two-stage defense system that drops directly into your factory locations. The under-vehicle primary filter features high-density pleated fiberglass treated with specialized hydrophobic media to strip out up to 98% of harmful water, while the engine-bay secondary element captures fine abrasive grit down to 4 microns. Complete with heavy-duty, fuel-resistant O-rings and fresh line alignment clips, this comprehensive kit ensures a secure, leak-free seal to keep your fuel delivery volume completely stable under load.

Key Features

  • Features a complete dual-filter system, including an under-vehicle primary filter for bulk contamination and water separation, paired with an engine-bay secondary cartridge.
  • High-density, pleated fiberglass media captures destructive particulates such as sand, rust, and diesel soot down to 4 microns without creating restriction in fuel delivery volume.
  • The primary filter utilizes specialized hydrophobic media designed to separate up to 98% of emulsified water from diesel fuel, minimizing the risk of internal corrosion and component scoring.
  • Engineered with fuel-resistant O-rings and required line alignment clips to safeguard sensitive CP4 pumps and precision injectors, meeting strict high-pressure common-rail purity requirements.

Replacement Interval

  • Replace every 15,000 miles or 12 months. Shorten this interval to 10,000 miles under severe conditions, including frequent heavy towing, biodiesel blends above B5, fueling at low-turnover rural stations, or high-humidity climates. To maintain proper system pressure and filtration efficiency, the under-vehicle primary filter (DFCM) and engine-bay secondary cartridge must always be replaced together as a complete set. Never replace one without the other.

FAQ

Q: How does this filter protect the Powerstroke injection system?

A: The 6.7L common-rail system operates at extreme pressures where any water or debris acts like a sandblaster inside precision injectors. This kit uses pleated fiberglass and specialized hydrophobic media to trap particulates down to 4 microns and strip up to 98% of emulsified water from your fuel.

Q: What are the warning signs of a clogged fuel filter?

A: Early symptoms include rough or surging idle, reduced power under heavy throttle, and extended cranking. A restricted filter drops fuel inlet pressure to the high-pressure CP4 pump, which can rapidly cause catastrophic cavitation damage and pump failure if ignored.

Q: How does this compare to the Motorcraft OEM filter?

A: This filter set is engineered to meet OEM specifications for form factor, micron rating, and water separation efficiency. It features a precise drop-in design that installs directly into your factory housing locations with zero modifications required.

Q: How often should I replace the fuel filter?

A: The standard interval is every 15,000 miles or 12 months. Shorten this to 10,000 miles under severe conditions, including heavy towing, biodiesel blends above B5, or fueling at low-turnover rural stations. The under-vehicle primary filter (DFCM) and engine-bay secondary cartridge must always be replaced as a matched pair.

Q: Should I replace the oil filter at the same time?

A: Fuel and oil filter intervals overlap at 7,500-15,000 miles for most diesel owners — doing both in one service session cuts your time under the truck in half. Our 2011-2016 6.7L Fuel + Oil Filter Kit bundles the correct fuel and oil filters for this engine generation into one shipment.

Buy it by the case — I keep two sets on the shelf

2014 F-250 with 200K miles on the original CP4 pump and fuel system. I attribute the longevity to religious filter changes and quality filters. This TruckTok triple set is my filter program. Every 7500 miles, one box, three filters, and the truck keeps running like new. 200K on the original CP4 says more than any review. These filters work.

DCR pump truck, same filter — full synthetic media for extended drains

2024 F-350 HO with the DCR pump. Even though the fuel pump changed, the oil system is the same and the FL2051s is still the spec. This TruckTok filter used full synthetic media with crimped metal end caps — no glue to dissolve in hot 5W-40 synthetic oil. I run 7500-mile intervals and the filter comes out looking brand new structurally. Cut one open and the pleats were uniform with zero media migration. The DCR pump is not the weak link anymore but clean oil is still everything.

Restriction gauge still green at 20K — better than the old oiled filter

2016 F-350. I used to run an oiled cotton gauze filter and the filter minder would pull halfway to red by 15K miles — plus I was constantly cleaning the MAF sensor. Switched to this TruckTok dry media FA1902 and the filter minder still shows green at 20K with zero MAF issues. The dry synthetic media holds more dirt without the restriction penalty. The 6.7L moves a lot of air and this filter lets it breathe.

FT187 — protects the 6R140 TorqShift, same filter on 10R140

2016 F-350. The 6R140 TorqShift has an external spin-on filter (FT187) on the passenger side of the transmission. If it clogs, the cooler bypass opens and unfiltered fluid circulates. This TruckTok FT187 has the correct 20-micron cellulose media and the anti-drainback valve holds fluid in the filter between starts. Changed at 60K during a full fluid flush and the magnet inside the old filter had minimal clutch material — the transmission is healthy. Also fits the 2020+ 10R140 per the spec sheet. Cheap insurance for a $7000 transmission.

Water separation is critical for 6.7L — this filter strips it

2015 F-450. The 6.7L frame-rail HFCM has a water-in-fuel sensor that triggers the dash light when the water separator bowl fills up. I drain mine monthly and always find a few drops of water. This TruckTok FD4615 has the correct Aquabloc-treated membrane that coalesces water droplets and drops them into the bowl. 40K miles on TruckTok fuel filters and never had a drop of water pass through to the engine-bay secondary filter or the CP4 pump. The water separation is the most important feature.

FL2051s — fits my 2023 just like my old 2015

2023 F-250. The 6.7L oil filter is one of the few parts that has not changed across generations — FL2051s fits 2011 through 2025. This TruckTok replacement has the correct thread pitch, correct bypass valve rating, and correct anti-drainback diaphragm. The filter housing cap threads on smoothly. Oil pressure on the dash gauge is steady at the same mark as with Motorcraft. I do 5000-mile changes with Rotella T6 and the filter holds up perfectly.

Same Motorcraft construction at 35% less — verified by dissection

2016 F-250. I am a diesel mechanic and I cut open every filter I take off. Cut a used TruckTok FD4615 next to a Motorcraft FD4615 and the pleat count, media thickness, center tube construction, and water-separating membrane were identical. Same story with the FL2051s oil filter — metal end caps crimped not glued, correct bypass spring tension, same filter media density. The Motorcraft price premium is a Ford tax. These TruckTok filters are the same quality.

Racor-spec filtration — not the Amazon mystery media

2012 F-350. Bought a cheap filter set on Amazon for my 6.7L and the fuel filter media looked like coffee filter paper — no water-separating membrane at all. Sent it back and bought this TruckTok set. The FD4615 has the visible Aquabloc coating, the FL2051s has thick synthetic media with metal end caps, and the FA1902 has properly sealed perimeter foam. The difference is immediately obvious. CP4 pumps do not forgive mystery media.

FA1902 — fits the 2011-2016 airbox with a proper seal

2014 F-250. The 6.7L airbox is a clamshell design — if the filter is too thick or the seal is wrong, the lid will not close fully and dust bypasses the filter. This TruckTok FA1902 has the exact same dimensions as the Motorcraft. The foam perimeter seal compresses evenly and the lid latches tight. I checked the turbo compressor wheel at 20K miles with this filter and it is spotless — no dusting, no erosion. The dry synthetic media flows well even when dusty.

FD4615 + FL2051s — CP4.2 pump demands clean fuel and clean oil

2014 F-350. The 6.7L CP4.2 pump turns diesel contamination into a $10,000 fuel system replacement. These TruckTok FD4615 fuel filters use Racor-spec 10-micron Aquabloc media that strips emulsified water before it ever reaches the pump. The FL2051s oil filter has the correct bypass valve spec for the 6.7L's high-volume oil system. I change both every 7500 miles and my fuel pressure has never dipped below 55 psi. Worth every penny for CP4 insurance.

Full 6.7L filter service — one box, three filters, no parts store run

2015 F-250. This three-filter set covers fuel, oil, and air in one order — FD4615 for the HFCM, FL2051s for the oil, and FA1902 for the airbox. Everything fits. The fuel filter cap O-ring is included, the oil filter gasket is pre-lubed, and the air filter seal compresses properly. One box means one order and no running to the parts store mid-service because you forgot the air filter. This is my standard 7500-mile service kit now.

FD4615 — 2011-2016 frame-rail primary, do not confuse with the 2017+ filter

2013 F-350. The 2011-2016 6.7L uses FD4615 on the frame-rail HFCM. In 2017, Ford changed the fuel filter housing design and the filter is different. This TruckTok FD4615 has the correct dimensions for the early 6.7L — right height, right O-ring groove, right water drain valve clearance. The cap threads on smoothly with no binding and the O-ring seats fully. Fuel pressure holds steady at 58 psi with no fluctuation. If you have a 2011-2016 truck, this is the one.
