How it Installation?

Step 1:

1.Open the hood, first disconnect the negative terminals of both power sources, locate the hood release rubber seal on the driver's side firewall, and then pull it out.
2.Locate the Engine Control Module (ECM), which is usually located near the battery on the driver's side at the front of the engine compartment. Then disconnect the ECM from the ECM connector.

Step 2:

1.Carefully thread the wire through the hole where the rubber gasket was removed earlier into the engine compartment from the cab. Ensure the wire on the engine compartment side is long enough to connect to the Engine Control Module (ECM) harness.
2.Use the conduit provided with the switch to protect the switch wire from high temperatures. Carefully reinstall the hood latch rubber gasket around the harness.

Step 3:

Locate the larger connector on the ECM harness and ensure it is in the closed position. Use a small screwdriver to remove the cover from the ECM harness.

Step 4:

Remove the purple slider attached to the ECM harness.

Step 5:

1.Locate pins #46 and #54 and insert the two switch pins here. The wire colors are not important. Make sure they are fully inserted into the bottom of the ECM connector.
2.Then reinsert the purple slider into the ECM harness and reconnect the ECM harness cover.

Step 6:

1.Finally, reconnect the ECM connectors to the ECM, making sure to connect the larger connectors first, then the smaller ones. The engine compartment installation is now complete.
2.Drill a small hole of appropriate size on a suitable panel near the dashboard in the driver's cab and install the switch.
3.Secure the switch harness to the other harnesses below the dashboard using electrical tape or cable ties.

A: The ECM will default to Tune 1. The switch works by changing electrical resistance; if the circuit is broken, the ECM senses maximum resistance and automatically reverts to first tune slot (usually base or stock) to ensure safe operation.

Q: Is the switch harness waterproof? What happens when I wash my engine bay?

A: Avoid blasting high-pressure water directly at the ECM connectors when washing the engine bay. Ensure factory rubber seals are fully seated to prevent moisture from causing voltage fluctuations between maps.

Q: Is there a delay when I click the switch to a different power level?
