2023 Ram — works on the newest model year too

2023 Ram 2500 with the digital dash. I was worried the passthru setup might interfere with the Uconnect 5 system or the digital cluster. No issues at all. The harness keeps the factory CAN bus fully intact so all your electronics work normally. The tuner connection is always accessible but invisible once you put the trim back. This is the right way to do a bypass — not a temporary cable, a permanent harness.

No more climbing behind the radio every flash

2021 Ram 3500. I was using a standard bypass cable and had to pull the radio bezel every time I wanted to flash a tune or do a diagnostic check. With this passthru harness, I installed it once behind the panel, tucked the OBD-II extension neatly, and now I can plug in any time without touching the dash. The wiring is plug-and-play — green 12-pin to one side, green 8-pin to the other, and the bypass leg to the tuner port.

Leave it installed — no swapping cables every time

2019 Ram 2500. Unlike the basic SGW bypass cable that you have to unplug every time you finish tuning, this passthru harness stays installed permanently. It splits the CAN bus signal so both the security gateway and your tuner can coexist. I keep my EZ Lynk plugged in full-time now and my factory remote start and Uconnect still work normally. The harness is well-made with factory-style connectors that click in solidly.

A little confused between the item (ER-0293) picture and the reviews mentioning the green 12 pin & 8 pin connectors- which I am familiar with on other bypass cables. Does this item eliminate the need for the green connectors, or are these included but not pictured? Vehicle is 2022 Ram 3500 Cummins.

On the 2020 ram 2500, do I plug the gateway bypass connector into the 5th slot on the green can bus board?

Hi,In fact, you can plug the connector into any open slot on that green block. All ports on the green junction block share the same CAN-C bus network, so any available position will function identically.
