Step 1 :

Remove the intake pipe and muffler.Loosen all 6mm bolts on the valve cover and loosen the hose clamp located in the center, then remove the PCV crossover pipe.

Step 2 :

The installation kit provides two steel billet accessories. The O-ring end will be installed in the valve cover. It is best to apply a little oil on the O-ring for easy installation.

Step 3 :

Insert the black plug provided in the kit into the air intake and secure it with a zip tie.

Step 4 :

1.Connect the longer hose to the steel billet joint on the driver side and connect it with the provided hose clamp. arrange the hose behind the air pipe.
2.Connect the shorter hose to the passenger side connector and connect it with the accompanying hose clamp. Connect the two hoses together with zip ties and run them parallel.

Step 5 :

Guide the hose through the outer side of the frame and extend it to the wheel cover area at the rear of the upper control arm. Ensure that the hose is arranged along the outer side of the frame to effectively avoid and clean the exhaust system.

Step 6 :

1.Install the bracket. The M10 bolt will be screwed into the support bolt. Secure the transmission dipstick to the bracket using 1/4-20 bolts, nuts, and washers.

DESCRIPTION

Product Overview

  • From 2004.5-2010, the LLY, LBZ, and LMM Duramax engines shared a highly flawed factory Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) design. To meet emissions standards, the factory vents oily mist from the crankcase directly back into the turbo inlet mouthpiece.
  • Over time, this heavy oil mist coats the inside of your turbocharger compressor wheel, pool-fills your intercooler, and thoroughly soaks your rubber intercooler boots. Once those boots get saturated with hot oil, they lose their grip, swell up, and blow off under high boost pressure while you're towing.
  • Worse yet, if you still run a factory EGR, this oily mist mixes with hot soot to form a concrete-like sludge that chokes your intake. Our PCV Reroute Kit isolates this loop, venting blow-by gases safely to keep your entire intake piping bone dry and clean.
Key Features
  • Stop Intercooler Boot Blowouts: Keeps oil completely out of your charge pipes, ensuring your rubber/silicone boots stay dry and tightly clamped even under 30+ PSI of boost.
  • Zero Soot + Oil "Mud" in the Intake: By stopping oil vapors from entering the intake tract, it prevents the creation of restrictive, engine-choking carbon sludge.
  • Free Up Engine Bay Space: Eliminates the bulky, restrictive plastic factory crankcase box sitting on top of your engine, giving you more room to work on fuel lines or injectors.
  • Protects Turbo Compressor Blades: Stops abrasive, oil-borne contaminants from hitting your spinning turbo wheel, preserving its balance and extending turbo life.

FAQ

Q: Will installing this PCV Reroute kit trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL)?

A: No. Unlike the EGR or DPF, the 2004.5–2010 Duramax PCV system is purely mechanical and not monitored by sensors. Installing this kit will never trigger a CEL or require any custom tuning.

Q: Why should I install a CCV/PCV Reroute Kit at the same time as my EGR delete?

A: They are the ultimate clean-air duo. Deleting the EGR stops dry carbon soot, while the PCV Reroute stops wet oil mist. Doing only one leaves your intake vulnerable to either oily pools or carbon buildup—doing both guarantees a clean, dry, and restriction-free intake system.

Q: Will this CCV Reroute kit cause a strong oil smell inside the truck cabin?

A: No, as long as it is routed correctly. By running our premium hose down past the transmission to end near the transfer case or rear axle, the natural airflow under the truck sweeps light vapors away from your cabin vents—keeping your air conditioning completely smell-free.

Q: Can the reroute hose freeze or clog in extremely cold winter weather?

A: Not with our design. Cheap kits use sagging hoses where oil pools and freezes in winter, blocking ventilation and blowing engine seals. Our kit prevents these traps. Tip: In extreme sub-zero regions, route the hose straight down to be as short and direct as possible.
